Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Certolino (“the app”), developed by Vastocielo LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). By downloading or using Certolino, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1.The app and your license

Vastocielo LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Certolino on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own use, subject to these Terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple Standard EULA”), which also applies. Certolino is a tool that helps you track continuing-education (CE) progress and license-renewal deadlines and store your own course records.

2.Not professional, legal, or compliance advice

Important. Certolino is an organizational and reference tool, not a licensing authority and not a substitute for official guidance. You remain solely responsible for meeting your own continuing-education and license-renewal requirements, for submitting your renewal, and for confirming the current rules with your state licensing authority or commission.

We work hard to keep the CE rules in the app accurate and current, and we show when each state’s rules were last verified. Even so, rules change and errors can occur: the information in Certolino is provided for your convenience and does not constitute legal, professional, or compliance advice, and it may not reflect the most recent changes. Always verify requirements and deadlines directly with your licensing authority before relying on them. Certolino does not submit renewals on your behalf or communicate with any licensing body.

3.Your data and records

Your license details, logged courses, and attached certificates are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining your own records and for keeping your original certificates; Certolino is a convenience for organizing them and is not a system of record for any licensing authority. We recommend retaining your source documents independently.

4.Purchases

Certolino may be offered free with an optional paid subscription or in-app purchase that unlocks additional features. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive or store your payment details. Purchases, renewals, refunds, and any promotional or offer-code redemptions are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and are associated with your Apple Account. Subscription pricing and terms are shown in the app before you buy; you can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.

5.Acceptable use

You agree not to copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law, and not to use the app for any unlawful purpose.

6.Intellectual property

The app and its design, name, branding, mascot, and content — including the compiled continuing-education rules dataset — are owned by Vastocielo LLC and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or content beyond the limited license to use the app described above.

7.Disclaimer

Certolino is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the app or its CE information is error-free, complete, or current, or that using the app will ensure your compliance with any requirement or prevent a license from lapsing. Your use of the app and any reliance on its information is at your own discretion and risk.

8.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vastocielo LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any lapsed license, missed deadline, penalty, or lost records, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the app or its information. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability in any matter arising from the app is limited to the amount, if any, that you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.

9.Changes

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date; your continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
